And he said: Jehovah will roar from Zion and give His voice from Jerusalem. And the pastures of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.
Blooming, it shall bloom and exult; yea, with joy and singing. Lebanon’s glory shall be given to it, the honor of Carmel and Sharon; they shall see the glory of Jehovah, the honor of our God.
Until when shall the land mourn, and the plant of every field wither from the evil of those who dwell in it? The beasts and the birds are swept away, because they said, He will not see our last end.
And now you prophesy against them all these words, and say to them, Jehovah shall roar from on high and give forth His voice from His holy habitation; He shall mightily roar over His dwelling place. He answers with a shout, like those who tread out the grapes, against all those living in the earth.
The prophets who have been before me and before you from antiquity prophesied against many lands and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of plague.
I will meet them like a bereaved bear, and I will tear the lining of their heart; and as a lion, I will devour them there; the beast of the field shall tear them.
And Jehovah gives His voice before His army, for His camp is very great. For he who does His Word is strong. For the day of Jehovah is great and very terrifying, and who can endure it?
And Jehovah roars from Zion, and He gives His voice from Jerusalem. And the heavens and the earth quake. But Jehovah is a refuge for His people and a fortress to the sons of Israel.
And if they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out from there. And if they hide from My eyes in the bottom of the sea, from there I will command the serpent, and he will bite them.
And a certain man was in Maon, and his work was in Carmel. And the man was very great, and there were three thousand sheep and a thousand goats to him. And he was shearing his flock in Carmel.
