Then they suborned some men to be saying, We have heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God!

You shall not utter a false report; You shall not put your hand with the wicked one, to become a violent witness.

And the priests and the prophets spoke to the rulers, and to all the people, saying, Let a sentence of death be for this man, for he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears.

And it happened, he being in the gate of Benjamin, a captain of the guard was there, and his name was Irijah the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah, and he seized Jeremiah the prophet, saying, You are falling to the Chaldeans.

And he who blasphemes the name of Jehovah dying shall die. All the congregation stoning shall cast stones at him. As to the alien, so to a native, when he blasphemes the Name, he shall die.

For the Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

And they will do these things to you because they do not know the Father nor Me.

We know that God has spoken by Moses, but this One, we do not know from where He is.

For in according to a city from ancient generations Moses has the ones proclaiming him, being read in the synagogues according to every sabbath.

But they resisting, and blaspheming, having shaken his garments, he said to them, Your blood be on your head. I am pure from it; from now on I will go to the nations.

crying out, Men, Israelites, help! This is the man, the one teaching all everywhere against the people and the Law and this place. And even more, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.

asking a favor against him, so as he might send for him to Jerusalem, making an ambush to kill him on the way.

And he arriving, the Jews having come down from Jerusalem stood around, also bringing many and weighty charges against Paul, which they were not able to prove.

And often punishing them through all the synagogues, I compelled them to blaspheme. And being exceedingly furious against them, I even persecuted them as far as the outer cities.

And they had no strength to stand against the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.

And they stirred up the people and the elders and the scribes. And coming on, they together seized him and led him into the sanhedrin.

And they stood up false witnesses, who were saying, This man does not cease speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the Law;

And not (as we are spoken evil of, and as some report us to say), Let us do the bad things so that the good things may come, the judgment of whom is just.

the one who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I received mercy, because being ignorant I did it in unbelief.
