And David went out before them, and answered and said to them, If you have come to me for peace, to help me, I have a heart to unite with yours. But if to betray me to my adversary, there is no violence in my hand; the God of our fathers shall see and reprove.
O Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever for the purpose of the thoughts of the heart of your people, and prepare their heart toward You;
that this God has fulfilled to us, their children, raising up Jesus; as also it is written in the second Psalm, “You are My Son, today I have begotten You.” Psa. 2:7
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, “Accursed is everyone having been hung on a tree;” Deut. 21:23
who “Himself carried up in His body our sins” onto the tree; that having died to sins, we might live to righteousness; of whom “by His wound you were healed.”
