Then conferring with the sanhedrin, Festus answered, You have appealed to Caesar; you shall go before Caesar.

For the wraths of man thank You; You gird on Yourself the remnant of wraths.

Who is this who speaks, and it occurs, though the Lord does not command it?

And all those living in the earth are counted as nothing. And He does according to His will among the army of Heaven, and among those living in the earth. And no one is able to strike His hand or say to Him, What are You doing?

Then tell us, what do You think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

And when these things were fulfilled, passing through Macedonia and Achaia, Paul purposed in the Spirit to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have come there, I must also see Rome.

And in the following night standing by him the Lord said, Be cheered, Paul, for as you fully testified the things concerning Me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify at Rome.

For if I indeed do wrong and have done anything worthy of death, I do not refuse to die. But if there is nothing of which they accuse me, no one can give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar.

And some days having passed, Agrippa the king and Bernice arrived at Caesarea, greeting Festus.

But Paul appealing for him to be kept to the examination of Augustus, I commanded him to be held until I might send him to Caesar.

And Agrippa said to Festus, This man was able to have been released, if he had not appealed to Caesar.

And when it was decided for us to sail to Italy, they gave over both Paul and certain other prisoners to a centurion by name Julius, of a cohort of Augustus.

And when we went into Rome, the centurion gave over the prisoners to the camp commander. But Paul was allowed to remain by himself, with the soldier guarding him.

according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but as always in all boldness even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death.
