The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me: One ruling over a righteous man, who rules in the fear of God,

And it happened, when Ahab heard these words, he tore his garments, and put sackcloth on his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.

because your heart was tender, and you have bowed before Jehovah when you heard what I spoke against this place, and against the ones living in it, to become a desolation and a curse, and have torn your clothes, and have wept before Me; even also I have heard, a statement of Jehovah.

And now let us cut a covenant with our God to cause to go out all the women, and those born of them, according to the counsel of the Lord and of those who tremble at the command of our God. And let it be done according to the Law.

And all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered to Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth of the month. And all the people sat in the plaza of the house of God, trembling because of the matter, and because of the heavy rain.

I put on righteousness and it clothed me; my judgment was like a robe and a turban.

For Jehovah is a righteous One; the upright ones look upon His face.

My flesh has shivered because of Your fear; and I have feared Your judgments.

You love righteousness and hate wickedness; on account of this God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your fellows.

Your people He shall judge in righteousness, and Your humble one in justice.

Jehovah reigns; let the peoples tremble; He sits between the cherubs; let the earth quake.

It is a disgusting thing for kings to commit wickedness, for the throne is made firm by righteousness.

Rejoice, O young man, in your youth. And make your heart glad in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with all that is hidden, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.

If you see the oppression of the poor, or the removing of justice and righteousness in the province, do not be amazed at the purpose. For a high one over a high one is watching; and high ones are over them.

Come now and let us reason together, says Jehovah: Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red as the crimson, they shall be like wool.

Oh how the faithful city has become one doing adultery! She was full of justice; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers!

And in mercy the throne shall be founded; and He shall sit on it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking judgment, and prompt in righteousness.

Tremble, women at ease; quake, women being confident; strip and make yourselves bare, and bind sackcloth on your loins;

Bring near your cause, says Jehovah; let your strong reasons come near, says the King of Jacob.

Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.

For I, Jehovah, love judgment, hating robbery for that which goes up in burnt offering. And I will give their work in faithfulness; and I will cut an everlasting covenant for them.

And My hand has made all these things, even all these things exist, a statement of Jehovah. But I will look toward this one, to the afflicted one, and to the contrite of spirit, even trembling at My Word.

So says Jehovah, Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one plundered from the hand of the oppressing one. And do not oppress the alien, the widow, or the orphan, and do not do violence and not shed innocent blood in this place.

Is not My Word thus like fire, says Jehovah, and like a hammer which shatters rock?

And it happened, when they had heard all the words, they turned each man to his companion in fear. And they said to Baruch, Reporting we will report all these words to the king.

So says the Lord Jehovah: Enough for you, O rulers of Israel! Turn away violence and oppression, and do judgment and righteousness. Lift away your acts of violence from My people, a statement of the Lord Jehovah.

And many of the sleeping ones in the dust of the ground shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches and to everlasting abhorrence.

So, O king, let my counsel be pleasing to you: Even break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by pitying the humble one, whether there will be duration to your prosperity.

In that night Belshazzar, the king of the Chaldeans, was killed.

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap as kindness. Break up your fallow ground. For it is time to seek Jehovah, until He comes and rains righteousness to you.

They have spoken words, swearing vanity to cut a covenant. And judgment springs up like hemlock in the furrows of the field.

In the day of our king, the rulers have sickened themselves with the heat of wine; he draws out his hand with scorners.

But let judgment roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing torrent.

Shall horses run on the rock? Or will one plow there with oxen? For you have turned justice into poison, and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood,

I heard, and my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the sound. Rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled within myself that I might rest for the day of distress; to come up against the peoples, he cuts him off.

So speaks Jehovah of Hosts, saying, This people says, The time is not come, the time for the house of Jehovah to be built.

But the ones not caring went off, the one indeed to his own field, and the one to his trading.

And having come, that One will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment;

And He commanded us to proclaim to the people and to witness solemnly that it is He Himself who has been marked out by God to be Judge of the living and the dead.

But when the Jews from Thessalonica knew that the Word of God was also proclaimed in Berea by Paul, they came there also, shaking up the crowds.

And according to Paul’s custom, he went in to them, and on three sabbaths he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

And hearing of a resurrection of the dead, the ones indeed ridiculed, but said, We will hear you again concerning this.

But hearing this, they were pierced in the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men, brothers, what shall we do?

having hope toward God, which these themselves also are awaiting, of a resurrection being about to be of the dead, both of just and unjust ones.

but at the same time also hoping that money would be given to him by Paul, that he might free him. Because of this he also more frequently sent for him and conversed with him.

And Agrippa said to Paul, In but a little do you persuade me to become a Christian!

Both trembling and being astonished he said, Lord, what do You desire me to do? And the Lord said to him, Rise up and go into the city, and it will be told you what you must do.

Therefore, brothers, I call on you through the compassions of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.

So then each one of us will give account concerning himself to God.

in a day when God judges the hidden things of men, according to my gospel, through Jesus Christ.

So then do not judge anything before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both shed light on the hidden things of darkness and will reveal the purposes of the hearts. And then praise will be to each one from God.

For we all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive the things done through the body, according to what he did, whether good or bad.

For He says, “In an acceptable time I heard you, and in a day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the acceptable time! Behold, now is the day of salvation! Isa. 49:8

But the Scripture shut up together all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to the ones believing.

meekness, self-control. Against such things there is not a law.

Therefore, I solemnly witness before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, He being about to judge the living and dead at His appearance and His kingdom:

but hospitable, a lover of good, selfcontrolled, just, holy, sensible,

And so fearful was the thing appearing, Moses said, “I am terrified and trembling.” Deut. 9:19

But exhort yourselves each day, as long as it is being called today, that not any of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

Therefore, let us fear lest perhaps a promise having been left to enter into His rest, that any of you may seem to have come short.

of baptisms, of doctrine, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of dead ones, and of eternal judgment.

And as much as it is reserved to men once to die, and after this, Judgment;

You believe that God is One. You do well; even the demons believe and shudder.

but sanctify” the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to speak in defense to every one asking you a word about the hope in you, with meekness and fear, Isa. 8:12, 13

and with the knowledge self-control, and with the self-control patience, and with the patience godliness,

By this the children of God and the children of the devil are made known: Everyone not practicing righteousness is not of God; also the one not loving his brother.

Little children, let no one lead you astray; the one practicing righteousness is righteous, even as that One is righteous.

And now stand, and I will judge you before the face of Jehovah regarding all the righteous acts of Jehovah which He did with you and with your fathers.
