And after some days, Felix having arrived with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess, he sent for Paul. And he heard him concerning the faith into Christ.
And Herod, seeing Jesus, greatly rejoiced, for he was wanting to see Him for a considerable time, because he wished to hear many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miraculous sign being done by Him.
And Paul discoursing about righteousness and self control, and the Judgment, the one that is about to be, becoming terrified, Felix answered, For now having no time, go; but taking a time later, I will call for you;
Then obtaining help from God, I stand until this day, witnessing both to small and to great, saying nothing except what the prophets and Moses also said was going to happen:
knowing that a man is not justified by works of Law, if not through faith of Jesus Christ (we also believed into Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith of Christ and not by works of Law, because all flesh will not be justified by works of Law). Psa. 123:2
I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live in faith in the Son of God, the One loving me and giving Himself over on my behalf.
Every one believing that Jesus is the Christ has been generated from God. And everyone loving the One generating also loves the one having been generated of Him.
Beloved ones, making all diligence to write to you about the common salvation, I had need to write to you to exhort you to contend earnestly for the faith once given over to the saints.
