But a certain Jew, Apollos by name, an Alexandrian by people, an eloquent man, came into Ephesus, being powerful in the Scriptures.

Artaxerxes, king of kings, to Ezra the priest, a scribe of the Law of the God of Heaven, perfect peace, and now:

this Ezra went up from Babylon. And he was a skilled scribe in the Law of Moses, which Jehovah the God of Israel had given. And the king granted him all he asked, according to the hand of Jehovah his God on him.

For he powerfully confuted the Jews publicly, proving through the Scriptures Jesus to be the Christ.

And it happened, in the time Apollos was in Corinth, Paul was passing through the higher parts to come to Ephesus. And finding some disciples,

And the centurion finding there an Alexandrian ship sailing to Italy, he put us into it.

But some of the ones of the synagogue being called of the Libertines, rose up, also some Cyrenians and Alexandrians, and some of the ones from Cilicia and Asia Minor, disputing with Stephen.

And Moses was instructed in all the wisdom of Egyptians and was powerful in words and in works.

But I say this, that each of you says, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.

And about the brother Apollos, I much urged him that he come to you with the brothers, but it was not at all his will that he come now. But he will come when he his opportunity.

And, brothers, I transferred these things to myself and Apollos because of you, that in us you may learn not to think above what is written, that you not be puffed up one against the other.

Because, they say, the letters are weighty and strong, but the bodily presence is weak, and his speech being despised.

Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Diligently set forward Zenas the lawyer and Apollos, that nothing be lacking to them.
