There are men, Jewish men, whom you have set over the business of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men do not fix attention on you, O king, on your decree They do not serve your gods, not doing homage to the golden image which you have set up.
Then they answered and said before the king, Daniel, who is of the sons of the exiled of Judah, has not set attention on you, O king, or the decree that you have signed, but he makes his prayer three times in the day.
And they began to accuse Him, saying, we found this man perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying Himself to be Christ, a king.
From this, Pilate sought to release Him. But the Jews were crying out, saying, If you release this one, you are not a friend of Caesar. Everyone making himself a king speaks against Caesar.
But becoming jealous, and taking some wicked men of the market loafers, and gathering a crowd, the disobeying Jews set the city into an uproar. And coming on the house of Jason, they sought to bring them on to the assembled people.
