And removing him, He raised up to them David for a king, to whom He also said, witnessing, I found David the son of Jesse “to be a man according to My own heart,” who will do all My will. 1 Samuel 13:14; Psa. 89:20;

And the men of Judah came and anointed David to be king over the house of Judah there. And they told David, saying, It was the men of Jabesh-gilead who buried Saul.

But My kindness shall not be turned aside from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I turned aside from before you.

And now, so you shall say to My servant, to David, So says Jehovah of Hosts, I have taken you from the resting place, from following the flock, to be ruler over My people, over Israel.

And he walked in all the sins of his father, those that he did before him, and his heart was not perfect with Jehovah his God, as was the heart of his father David.

For David did that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah, and did not turn aside from all that He commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

And Saul died because of his unfaithful act that he acted unfaithfully against Jehovah, against the Word of Jehovah that he did not keep, and also for asking of a medium, to inquire;

and Boaz fathered Obed, and Obed fathered Jesse.

Yea, I have anointed My king on Zion, My holy Mount.

My covenant with My servant David may also be broken, that he should not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers.

then I also will reject the seed of Jacob, and My servant David, not to take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will bring back their captivity and have compassion on them.

And I will raise up over them one Shepherd, and He shall feed them. My servant David, He shall feed them, and He shall be to them for a Shepherd.

Afterward the sons of Israel shall turn back and seek Jehovah their God and David their king. And they shall fear Jehovah and His goodness in the ends of the days.

For having served his own generation by the purpose of God, David truly fell asleep and was added to his fathers and saw corruption. 1 Kings. 2:10

And God, the knower of hearts, testified to them, giving them the Holy Spirit, even as also to us.

who found favor before God and asked to find a dwelling place for the God of Jacob;

But if you still do evilly, both you and your king will be swept away.

I repent that I made Saul reign as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and he has not risen to do My words. And Samuel was angry, and he cried to Jehovah all night.

For the sin of divination is rebellion; insolence is both iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the Word of Jehovah, so He has rejected you from being king.

And Samuel said to Saul, I will not return with you, for you have rejected the Word of Jehovah and Jehovah has rejected you from being king over Israel.

And Samuel said to him, Jehovah has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to your neighbor who is better than you.

And Jehovah said to Samuel, Until when will you mourn for Saul, for I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go. I will send you to Jesse of Bethlehem, for I have seen a king for Me among his sons.

And Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers. And the Spirit of Jehovah came mightily upon David from that day and onward. And Samuel rose up and went to Ramah.

And Samuel said, And why do you ask me, since Jehovah has turned aside from you and is your adversary?

And Saul and three of his sons, and his armorbearer, and all his men died together on that day.
