And seeing, the Pharisees said to His disciples, Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?

And the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This one receives sinners and eats with them.

Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas into the praetorium, and it was early. And they did not enter into the praetorium that they might not be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover.

Then calling them in, he lodged them. And on the next day Peter went out with them. And some of the brothers from Joppa accompanied him.

And he said to them, You know how unlawful it is for a man, a Jew, to unite with or to come near to one of another nation. Yet God showed to me not to call a man, not one, common or unclean.

Therefore, send to Joppa and call for Simon who is called Peter; this one is lodged in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea; who coming, he will speak to you.

And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to remain some days.

But now I wrote to you not to associate intimately; if anyone being named a brother and is either a fornicator, or a covetous one, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a rapacious one, with such a one not to eat.

For before some came from James, he ate with the nations. But when they came, he drew back and separated himself, being afraid of the ones of the circumcision.

If anyone comes to you and does not bear this doctrine, do not receive him into the house, and do not speak a greeting to him.
