And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth and stretched it out for herself on the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water poured on them out of the heavens. And she did not allow a bird of the heavens to rest on them by day nor the beast of the field by night.

And that which Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, Saul’s concubine, had done was told to David.

And to Saul was a concubine, and her name was Rizpah the daughter of Aiah. And Ishbosheth said to Abner, Why have you gone in to my father’s concubine?

And it happened, when Ahab heard these words, he tore his garments, and put sackcloth on his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.

Among the vanities of the nations are there any who make rain fall? Or can the heavens give showers? Is it not You, O Jehovah our God? Therefore we will wait for You; for You do all these.

You shall fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your bands, and the people with you. I will give you for food to the birds of prey, a bird of every wing, and to the beasts of the field.

And we shall know, we who follow on to know Jehovah. His going forth is prepared as the dawn. And He shall come to us as the rain, as the latter and former rain to the earth.

How the beasts groan! The herds of livestock are confused, for there is no pasture for them. Even the flocks of sheep are perishing.

And be glad, sons of Zion, and rejoice in Jehovah your God. For He has given to you the early rain according to righteousness, and He will cause the rain to come down for you, the early rain and the latter rain in the first month.

Ask rain from Jehovah in the time of the latter rain. Jehovah shall make lightnings. And He gives them showers of rain, grass to each man in the field.

that I will give the rain of your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, and your wine, and your oil.

and shall remove the clothing of her captivity from her, and shall live in your house, and shall weep for her father and her mother a month of days. And afterwards you shall go in to her, and shall marry her; and she shall be a wife to you.

And if a man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he is caused to die, and you hang him on a tree,

his body shall not remain all night on the tree; but burying you shall bury him the same day. For he that is hanged is a reproach to God. And you shall not defile your land which Jehovah your God is giving to you as an inheritance.

And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the heavens and to the beasts of the field.

This day Jehovah shall shut you up into my hand, and I shall strike you, and take off your head from you and give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the heavens and to the living things of the earth this day. And all the earth shall know that there is a God for Israel.
