And David was going up in the Ascent of the Olives, going up and weeping. And his head was covered, and he was going barefooted. And all the people who were with him each man had covered his head, and had gone up, going up and weeping.

And the king had covered his face. Yea, the king cried with a loud voice, My son Absalom! Absalom my son, my son!

And Joab came in to the king to the house, and said, You have put to shame today the faces of all your servants, those delivering your life today, and the life of your sons, and of your daughters, and the life of your wives, and the life of your concubines,

And Mordecai came again to the king’s gate, but Haman hurried to his house mourning, and his head covered.

My tears have been my food by day and by night, while they say to me all the day, Where is your God?

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why do you moan within me? Hope in God, for I will still thank Him, the salvations of my face, and my God.

Groan quietly, be silent; do not make a mourning for her who died. Bind your turban on you, and put your sandals on your feet, and do not cover the mustache and do not eat the bread of men.

And your turbans shall be on your heads and your sandals on your feet. You shall not wail nor weep, but you shall rot away in your iniquities, and each man groan to his brother.

And His feet shall stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives shall divide from its middle, from the east even to the west, a very great valley. And half of the mountain shall move north, and half of it south.

Blessed are the ones mourning! For they shall be comforted.

And it happened as He drew near to Bethphage and Bethany toward the Mount being called Of Olives, He sent two of the disciples,

And as He was already drawing near to the descent of the Mount of Olives, all the multitude of the disciples began rejoicing, to praise God with a loud voice concerning all the works of power which they saw,

And as He drew near, seeing the city, He wept over it,

And in the days, He was teaching in the temple. And going out in the nights, He lodged in the mountain, the one being called Mount of Olives.

And going out, He went, according to His custom, to the Mount of Olives; and His disciples also followed Him.

Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount, the one being called Of Olive Grove, which is near Jerusalem, having a journey of a sabbath.

Rejoice with rejoicing ones, and weep with weeping ones;

And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. If one member is glorified, all the members rejoice with it.
