And all his servants were passing on by his side, and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men who came at his feet from Gath. These were passing on before the king.

And the king went out, and all the people at his feet. And they stood still at the house farthest away.

And David sent one third of the people by the hand of Joab, and one third by the hand of Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab’s brother, and one third by Ittai the Gittite. And the king said to the people, Going out I will go with you, I also.

And Joab was over all the army of Israel, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada over the Cherethites and over the Pelethites.

and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were first ones at the hand of the king.

And David and his men, about six hundred men, rose up and left Keilah, and went wherever they could go. And it was told to Saul that David had slipped away from Keilah. And he ceased to go out.

And David said to his men, Each man gird on his sword. And David also girded on his sword. And about four hundred men went up after David and two hundred stayed by the baggage.

And David lived with Achish in Gath, he and his men, each man and his household: David and his two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel, and Abigail the former wife of Nabal of Carmel.

And it was told to Saul that David had fled to Gath, and he did not seek for him any more.

And it happened when David and his men came to Ziklag on the third day, the Amalekites had raided to the Negeb, even to Ziklag, and had struck Ziklag and burned it with fire.

We raided the south of the Cherethites, and went against that belonging to Judah, and against the south of Caleb. And we burned Ziklag with fire.

So David went on, he and six hundred men who were with him. And they came to the torrent Besor. And those that were left stood.
