And Nathan said to David, You are the man! So says Jehovah, the God of Israel, I anointed you as king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.
And the woman said, And why have you thought in this way about the people of God? Yea, the king is speaking this thing as a guilty one, in that the king has not brought back his outcast.
And now, so you shall say to My servant, to David, So says Jehovah of Hosts, I have taken you from the resting place, from following the flock, to be ruler over My people, over Israel.
Go, say to Jeroboam, So says Jehovah, God of Israel, Because I have lifted you up from the midst of the people, and have appointed you leader over My people Israel;
And he answered, I have not disturbed Israel, but you and the house of your father, in that you have forsaken the commands of Jehovah, and you have gone after the Baals.
And it happened, your servant was working here and there, and he was not there. And the king of Israel said to him, Your judgment is right. You have decided it.
And he said to him, So says Jehovah, Because you have sent away the man I had devoted from your hand, therefore your life shall go for his life, and your people for his people.
To the chief musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of Jehovah, who spoke the words of this song to Jehovah in the day that Jehovah delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. And he said: I love You, O Jehovah, my strength.
It was you, O king, for you have become great and strong. For your greatness has grown and reaches to the heaven, and your rule is to the end of the earth.
And Samuel said to Saul, You have acted foolishly that you have not kept the command of Jehovah your God which He commanded you. For now Jehovah would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.
And Samuel said, Is it not true, even you, when you were little in your own eyes you became head of the tribes of Israel? And Jehovah anointed you for king over Israel.
And Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers. And the Spirit of Jehovah came mightily upon David from that day and onward. And Samuel rose up and went to Ramah.
And Saul said, I will give her to him, and she shall be a snare to him; and the hand of the Philistines shall be on him. And Saul said to David a second time, You shall be my son-in-law today.
And David was dwelling in the wilderness, in the strongholds. And he was dwelling in the hill, in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him all his days. And God did not give him into his hand.
And it was told to Saul that David had come to Keilah. And Saul said, God has estranged him into my hand; for he is shut in, to enter into a city of gates and a bar.
