Mountains of Gilboa, let not dew and not do let rain be on you, and not fields of offerings; for there the shield of the mighty was defiled, the shield of Saul, not being anointed with oil.

And the Philistines fought with Israel. And the men of Israel fled from the face of the Philistines, and they fell wounded in Mount Gilboa.

And it happened on the next day, the Philistines came to strip those pierced. And they found Saul and his sons fallen in Mount Gilboa.

Your neck is like the tower of David, built for an armory; a thousand bucklers hang on it, all the shields of the mighty men.

Arrange the table; watch in the watchtower; eat, drink; rise up, rulers, and anoint the shield.

And I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned and not hoed; but briers and thorns shall come up. And on the clouds I will command the rain from raining on it.

The food offering and the drink offering have been cut off from the house of Jehovah; the priests, Jehovah’s ministers, mourn.

Who knows if He will turn back and have pity and leave a blessing behind Him, a food offering and a drink offering for Jehovah your God?

Cursing, curse Meroz, said the Angel of Jehovah; curse the ones living in it because they did not come to the help of Jehovah, to the help of Jehovah among the mighty ones.

And Samuel took the flask of oil and poured on his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because Jehovah has anointed you for a leader over His inheritance?

And the Philistines were fighting against Israel. And the men of Israel fled from the face of the Philistines, and they fell down wounded in Mount Gilboa.

And it happened on the next day, the Philistines came to strip the wounded. And they found Saul and his three sons fallen down on Mount Gilboa.
