Beloved ones, I now write to you this second epistle, in which I stir up your pure mind in a reminder

The clean of palms and the pure of heart; who has not lifted up his soul to vanity and has not sworn deceit.

A Psalm of Asaph. Truly God is good to Israel, to those who are of a pure heart.

Blessed are the pure in heart! For they shall see God.

I said before, and I say beforehand, as being present the second time and being absent now, I write to the ones having sinned before, and all the rest, that if I come again I will not spare,

Lay hands quickly on no one, nor share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

For which cause I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

But, beloved ones, even if we indeed speak so, we have been persuaded better things concerning you, even holding fast to salvation.

Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unpretended brotherly love, love one another fervently out of a pure heart,

Beloved ones, I exhort you as foreigners and aliens to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul;

Therefore, beloved ones, looking for these things, be diligent, spotless, and without blemish, to be found in peace by Him.

Therefore, beloved ones, you knowing beforehand, be on guard lest being led away by the error of the lawless ones you fall from your own firmness.

But let not this one thing escape your notice, beloved ones, that one day with the Lord is “as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” Psa. 90:4

But I purpose to remind you, you once knowing these things, that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, in the second place destroyed the ones not believing.
