Having laid down these things to the brothers, you will be a good servant of Jesus Christ, having been nourished by the words of the faith, and by the good doctrine which you have followed.
Do not be carried away by various and strange doctrine; for it is good that the heart be confirmed by grace, not by foods, in which those walking in them were not profited.
Now the God of all grace, the One having called you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, you having suffered a little, Himself will perfect, confirm, strengthen, establish you.
I wrote to you by a few words by way of Silvanus the faithful brother, as I reckon, exhorting and witnessing this to be the true grace of God, in which you stand.
Beloved ones, making all diligence to write to you about the common salvation, I had need to write to you to exhort you to contend earnestly for the faith once given over to the saints.
But I purpose to remind you, you once knowing these things, that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, in the second place destroyed the ones not believing.
