And Elisha returned to Gilgal. And the famine was in the land. And the sons of the prophets were sitting before him. And he said to his young man, Set on the big pot and boil soup for the sons of the prophets.

And Jacob boiled soup. And Esau came from the field, and he was faint.

And there was a famine in the days of David, three years, year after year. And David sought the face of Jehovah. And Jehovah said, It is for Saul and for his bloody house, because he caused the Gibeonites to die.

And Elijah the Tishbite, of the sojourners of Gilead, said to Ahab, As Jehovah the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall be no dew nor rain these years, except according to my word.

And it happened, when Jehovah was to cause Elijah to go up to Heaven in a tempest, Elijah and Elisha went from Gilgal.

And the sons of the prophets in Beth-el came out to Elisha, and said to him, Do you know that today Jehovah will take your lord from your head? And he said, Yes, I know. Keep silent.

And a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets had cried to Elisha, saying, My husband, your servant, is dead. And you know that your servant has seen Jehovah. And the one who loaned has come to take my two boys to himself for slaves.

And one went out to the field to gather herbs, and found a vine of the field, and gathered wild gourds from it in the field. And with the lap of his garment full, he came in and shredded them into the pot of soup; for they did not know.

And Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had revived, saying, Rise up and go, you and your household. And reside where you can reside, for Jehovah has called for a famine. And also, it shall come on the land seven years.

those plucking mallow by the bushes, and broom roots for their food;

Blessed is the man listening to Me, watching day by day at My gates, guarding at the posts of My doors.

who say, It is not near, let us build houses; she is the pot, and we are the flesh.

So the Lord Jehovah says this: Your wounded ones whom you have set in her midst, they are the flesh, and she is the pot. But I will bring you forth out of her midst.

Son of man, when a land sins against Me, by doing an unfaithful act, then I will stretch out My hand on it, and I will shatter the staff of bread to it, and I will send famine on it. And I will cut off from it man and beast.

And parable a parable to the house of rebellion, and say to them, So says the Lord Jehovah: Set on the pot! Set it on, and also pour water in it.

When I break to you the staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and shall give back your bread by weight; and you shall eat, and shall not be satisfied.

Then Amos answered and said to Amaziah, I was not a prophet, and not was I a prophet’s son, but I was a herdsman and one tending sycamore trees.

And answering, He said to them, You give them food to eat. And they said to Him, Going, should we buy two hundred denarii of bread and give them to eat?

And to this one was a sister being called Mary, who also was sitting alongside, at the feet of Jesus, and heard His Word.

And it happened after three days they found Him in the temple sitting in the midst of the teachers, even hearing them and questioning them.

But on a truth I say to you, Many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah when the heaven was shut up over three years and six months, when a great famine came on all the land;

And they went out to see the thing happening, and came to Jesus. And they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and of sound mind. And they were afraid.

And the man from whom the demons had gone out begged Him, desiring to be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying,

But He said to them, You give them to eat. But they said, there is not to us more than five loaves and two fish, unless going we buy food for all this people.

Then Jesus says to them, Children, do you not have any thing for eating? They answered Him, No.

Then when they came down onto the land, they saw a coal fire lying, and a fish lying on it, and bread.

Jesus the One from Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all the ones having been oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.

And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, Indeed, Returning, let us look after our brothers throughout every city in which we proclaimed the Word of the Lord, how they have fared.

Indeed I am a man, a Jew having been born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but having been brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, having been trained according to the exactness of the ancestral law, being a zealot of God, even as you all are today.

And Saul sent messengers to take David. And they saw the assembly of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them. And the Spirit of God came on Saul’s messengers, and they also prophesied.
