2 Kings 23:30

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And his servants made him ride, he having died, from Megiddo, and bore him to Jerusalem, and they buried him in his own grave. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah and anointed him, and made him reign in place of his father.

And all the people of Judah took Azariah (and he was a son of sixteen years), and they made him king instead of his father Amaziah.

And the people of the land killed all those who conspired against King Amon, and the people of the land made his son Josiah king in his place.

Therefore behold! I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered into your grave in peace; and your eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring on this place. And they brought back this word to the king.

And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his burial site, with his fathers in the city of David.

After all this, when Josiah had prepared the house, Necho the king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by the Euphrates; and Josiah went out to meet him.

And his servants passed him out from the chariot, and caused him to ride in a second chariot of his, and brought him to Jerusalem. And he died and was buried in the graves of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem were mourning for Josiah.

Weep not for the ones who died and do not lament for him; weep bitterly for him who goes away, for he shall return no more, nor see the land of his birth.

For so says Jehovah concerning Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned in his father Josiah’s place, who went forth from this place: he shall not return there any more.

And you lift up a lament for the rulers of Israel,
