In those days Hezekiah was sick to death, and Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him and said to him, So says Jehovah, Order your house, for you are dying, and shall not live.

And Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not done. And he saddled the ass and rose up and went to his house, to his city. And he gave command to his household, then hanged himself, and died. And he was buried in the grave of his father.

And he said to him, So says Jehovah, Because you have sent messengers to ask of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron, is it because there is not a God in Israel to inquire of His Word? Therefore, you shall not come down from the bed on which you have gone up there, for dying you shall die.

And therefore Jehovah says this, You shall not come down from that bed on which you have gone up there, but dying you shall die. And Elijah departed.

and he sent Eliakim, who was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covering themselves with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

And Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, So says Jehovah, the God of Israel, I have heard that which you have prayed to Me regarding Sennacherib the king of Assyria:

And he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Jehovah, saying,

And Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, your days are coming near to die. Call Joshua, and present yourselves at the tabernacle of the congregation, and I shall charge him. And Moses and Joshua went, and they presented themselves at the tabernacle of the congregation.

And Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, you shall lie with your fathers, and this people shall rise up and go fornicating after the gods of the foreigners of the land into which they are going, and they shall forsake Me and shall break My covenant which I made with it.

For indeed he was sick, coming near to death; but God had mercy on him, and not only on him, but also me, lest I should have grief on grief.

because through the work of Christ he drew near as far as to death, his life having been exposed, that he may fill up your lack of service toward me.
