King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

It may be that Jehovah your God will hear all the words of the chief cupbearer, with which his master the king of Assyria has sent him to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which Jehovah your God has heard; and you shall lift up prayer for the remnant that is found.

And in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib the king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah, and captured them.

O Jehovah, stretch out Your ear and hear; O Jehovah, open Your eyes and see; and hear the words of Sennacherib with which he has sent him to reproach the living God.

Whom have you reproached and reviled? Against whom have you lifted up a voice? Yea, you have lifted up your eyes on high, even against the Holy One of Israel!

By the hand of your messengers, you have reproached the Lord, and have said, With the multitude of my chariots I have gone up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and I will cut down the height of its cedars, the best of its firs, and I will enter into the furthest dwelling, its densest forest;

And they said to him, So says Hezekiah, it is a day of distress, and of rebuke, and of contempt today; for the sons have come to the birth, and there is no power to bring forth.

And the refugees of the house of Judah that is left shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.

For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and what is spared out of Mount Zion; the zeal of Jehovah of Hosts shall do this.

And the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.

And Hezekiah the king and Isaiah the son of Amoz, the prophet, prayed about this, and they cried to Heaven.

And call on Me in the day of distress, and I will save you; and you shall glorify Me.

You have done these things, and I have kept silence; you thought that being I would be like you; but I will rebuke you and set in order before your eyes.

Remember this: the enemy has reproached, O Jehovah; and a foolish people have held in contempt Your name.

Except Jehovah of Hosts had left a remnant for us, a few, we would be as Sodom; we would be as Gomorrah.

I will send him against a godless nation, and on the people of My wrath. I will command him to plunder plunder, and to spoil spoil, and to appoint them a trampling like the mud of the streets.

And you shall not mention the burden of Jehovah again, for each man’s word shall be his burden. But you have perverted the words of the living God, of Jehovah of Hosts, our God.

Call to Me, and I will answer you; and I will tell you great and inaccessible things; you do not know them.

And he said to them, So says Jehovah, the God of Israel, to Him, to whom you sent me to cause to fall your petition before Him,

So says the Lord Jehovah: Yet for this I will be sought by the house of Israel, to work for them. I will increase them with men like a flock.

So then, also in the present time a remnant according to election of grace has come to be.

But Isaiah cries on behalf of Israel, “If the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, the remnant will be saved.”

For Jehovah will bring His people justice; and He shall have compassion on His servants, for He sees that their power is gone, and only the imprisoned and abandoned remain.

And now, give to me this mountain, of which Jehovah spoke in that day, for you heard in that day how the sons of Anak were there, and great walled cities. If Jehovah shall be with me, then I shall dispossess them, as Jehovah has spoken.

And Joshua said, By this you shall know that the living God is among you. And surely He shall dispossess from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites and the Amorites, and the Jebusites.

And Jonathan said to the young man bearing his weapons, Come, we shall cross over to the garrison of these uncircumcised ones. It may be Jehovah will work for us, for there is no hindrance to Jehovah, to save by many or by few.

And the Philistine said, I defy the ranks of Israel this day; give me a man, and we will fight together.

And David spoke to the men who were standing with him, saying, What shall be done to the man who strikes this Philistine, and turns aside reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should reproach the armies of the living God?

And David said to the Philistine, You are coming to me with sword, and with spear, and with javelin. But I am coming to you in the name of Jehovah of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, which you have reproached.
