2 Kings 18:22King James 3 - The Literal TraslationAnd when you say to me, We have trusted to Jehovah our God, is it not He whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has removed, and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Before this altar you shall bow yourselves in Jerusalem? See the chapter |
And when all this was finished, all Israel who were found went out to the cities of Judah and smashed the standing pillars, and cut down the Asherahs, and broke down the high places and the altars out of all Judah, and Benjamin, and in Ephraim, and Manasseh, even to the finishing. And all the sons of Israel returned, each man to his possession, to their cities.
Now if you are ready, at the time you hear the sound of the horn, the pipe, zither, the lyre, harp, and bagpipe, and all kinds of music, fall down and do homage to the image which I have made. But if you do not do homage, in that moment you shall be thrown into the middle of a burning furnace of fire. And who is that god who shall deliver you out of my hand?
And it shall be the place which Jehovah your God shall choose to cause His name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I am commanding you, your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice free-will offerings which you vow to Jehovah.
