And Hoshea the son of Elah conspired a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and struck him, and caused him to die, and reigned in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.
Ahaz was a son of twenty years when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not do the right in the eyes of Jehovah his God, like his father David.
