King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

To this day they do according to the former custom; they do not fear Jehovah, and do not do according to their statutes, and according to their ordinances, and according to the Law, and according to the commandment that Jehovah commanded the sons of Jacob, on whom He set His name, Israel.

And He said, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, because you have wrestled with God and with men, and have prevailed.

And Jacob asked and said, Please reveal Your name. And He said, Why do you ask this about My name? And He blessed him there.

And he set up an altar there. And he called it, El, the God of Israel.

And God said to him, Your name is Jacob; your name will not any more be called Jacob, but Israel will be your name. And He called his name Israel.

And he said to Jeroboam, Take ten pieces for yourself. For so says Jehovah, God of Israel, Behold, I am tearing the kingdom from the hand of Solomon and giving to you the ten tribes.

And now, you are saying, Go, say to your lord, Behold, Elijah.

And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the Word of Jehovah came, saying, Israel shall be your name.

And it happened at the beginning of their living there, they did not fear Jehovah, and Jehovah sent lions among them, and they were striking among them.

They feared Jehovah, and served their own gods, according to the custom of the nations from where they exiled them.

But they did not listen, but did according to their former custom.

He sent out his hand against his peace; he defiled his covenant.

One walking in his uprightness fears Jehovah, but one being perverse in his ways despises Him.

Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and have come out from the waters of Judah, who swear by Jehovah’s name and make mention by the God of Israel, not in truth or in righteousness.
