And Menahem lay with his fathers. And his son Pekahiah reigned in his place.

And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him and struck him before the people, and caused him to die, and reigned in his place.

And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Israel?

In the fiftieth year of Azariah the king of Judah, Pekahiah the son of Menahem reigned over Israel two years in Samaria.
