Striking you have stricken Edom, and your heart has lifted you up. Glory in it and stay in your house; and why should you stir yourself up to evil so that you may fall, you and Judah with you?

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

The beginning of strife is like the releasing of water, therefore leave off striving before it breaks out.

For a man to cease from strife is an honor, but every foolish one lays himself bare.

Do not go out for strife hastily, lest what shall you do in the end of it, when your neighbor has put you to shame.

One who grabs the ears of a dog is like one passing by; he is passing wrath on himself over strife that is not his.

Do not strive with a man without cause, if he has dealt you no evil.

By your great wisdom, by your trade you have multiplied your wealth, and your heart is lifted up because of your wealth.

So says the Lord Jehovah: Are you he of whom I have spoken in former days by the hand of My servants, the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days many years, to bring you against them?

Son of man, set your face against Gog, the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him.

Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet;

and it rises up into your heart, and you forget Jehovah your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves;

But let the lowly brother rejoice in his exaltation;

But He gives greater grace. Because of this it says, “God sets Himself against proud ones, but He gives grace to humble ones.” Prov. 3:34

And Abimelech came to the tower and fought against it. And he drew near to the door of the tower in order to burn it with fire.
