Therefore I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in calamities, in persecutions, in distresses, for the sake of Christ. For whenever I may be weak, then I am powerful.

in every way being pressed, but not being constricted; being perplexed, but not utterly despairing;

in hardship and toil, in sleepless nights many times, in hunger and thirst, in fastings many times, in cold and nakedness.

Truly the signs of the apostle were fully worked among you in all patience, in miraculous signs, and in wonders, and by works of power.

But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.

Having laid down these things to the brothers, you will be a good servant of Jesus Christ, having been nourished by the words of the faith, and by the good doctrine which you have followed.

but she will be kept safe through the childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with sensibleness.

And we exhort you, brothers, to admonish the disobedient ones, comfort the ones being faint-hearted, sustain the ones being weak, be long-suffering towards all.

Because of this we were comforted over you, brothers, on all our affliction and distress through your faith,

who now rejoice in my sufferings on your behalf and fill up in my flesh the things lacking of the afflictions of Christ on behalf of His body, which is the Assembly,

being empowered with all power according to the might of His glory, to all patience and long-suffering with joy;

Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as beside myself) I being beyond them: in labors, more abundantly; in stripes, beyond measure; in prisons, much more; in deaths, many times.

And being present with you and lacking, I was not a burden to anyone. The brothers coming from Macedonia completely made up for my need. And in every way I kept myself without burden to you, and I will keep myself.

For behold this very same thing, you being grieved according to God, how much it fully worked earnestness in you, but also defense, but also indignation, but also fear, but also desire, but also zeal, but also vengeance! In everything you commended yourselves to be clear in the matter.

For the lightness of our present affliction works out for us an eternal weight of glory, surpassing moment by surpassing moment;

But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor corrupting the Word of God, but by the revelation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men before God.

If we sowed spiritual things to you, is it a great thing if we shall reap of your fleshly things?

Greet Apelles, the approved in Christ; Greet those of Aristobulus.

For the one serving Christ in these things is pleasing to God, and approved by men.

but God demonstrates His love to us in that we being yet sinners, Christ died for us.

But you yourselves know that these hands ministered to my needs, and to the ones who were with me.

For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of My name.

For we are not as the many, peddling the Word of God; but as of sincerity, but as of God. We speak in Christ before God.

I have spoken these things to you that you may have peace in Me. You have distress in the world; but have courage, I have overcome the world.

But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is not God unrighteous inflicting wrath? I speak according to man.
