And I also will confess to you that your right hand can save you.

All the fat ones of the earth have eaten, and have worshiped; all those going down to the dust shall bow before Him; and he kept not his own soul alive.

The wicked one is thrust out in his evil, but the righteous one seeks refuge in his death.

One trusting in his own heart is a fool, but the one walking in wisdom shall be delivered.

I said in the cessation of my days, I shall go to the gates of Sheol; I must account for the rest of my years.

Though I say to the righteous one, Living he shall live, yet he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, all his righteousness shall not be remembered, but he shall die for his iniquity which he has done.

And He also spoke this parable to some of those relying on themselves, that they are righteous, and despising the rest:

Even as it is written, “For Your sake we are killed all the day; we are counted as sheep of slaughter.” Psa. 44:22

who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver; in whom we have hope that He will still deliver us,

For, brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant as to our affliction having happened to us in Asia, that we were beyond measure burdened beyond our power, so as for us even to despair of living.

not that we are sufficient of ourselves to reason out anything as being out of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God,

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power may be of God, and not from us;

considering that; God was able to raise even from dead ones; from where indeed he obtained him in a parable.
