And Amaziah the king of Judah, the son of Joash, was caught by Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz, the king of Israel in Bethshemesh; and he carried him to Jerusalem, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the Corner Gate, four hundred cubits.

And Amaziah the king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Ahaziah, was captured by Jehoash the king of Israel in Bethshemesh. And they came in to Jerusalem, and he broke through the wall of Jerusalem at the Gate of Ephraim to the Corner Gate, four hundred cubits.

and they came up into Judah and broke into it, and captured all the goods that was found at the king’s house, and also his sons, and his wives; and there was not left to him a son except Jehoahaz the youngest of his sons.

And those living in Jerusalem made his youngest son Ahaziah king in his place (for all the first ones had been slain by the troop that came in with the Arabians to the battle) and Ahaziah the son of Jehoram the king of Judah reigned.

and he returned to be healed in Jezreel, because of the wounds with which they had stricken him in Ramah, when fighting with Hazael the king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram the king of Judah, went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, for he was ill.

And Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the Corner Gate, and at the Valley Gate, and at the Corner buttress, and fortified them.

And he made himself strong and built all the wall that was broken, and went up on the towers; and outside, another wall; and strengthened Millo, the city of David, and made missiles in abundance, and shields.

And Jehovah brought against them the heads of army that was to the king of Assyria, and they captured Manasseh with hooks, and bound him with bronze fetters, and made him go to Babylon.

And at the turn of the year, King Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon, with the valuable vessels of the house of Jehovah, and made his kinsman Zedekiah to reign over Judah and Jerusalem.

Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon came up against him, and bound him in bronze fetters to take him away to Babylon.

and from above the Ephraim Gate, and above the Old Gate, and above the Fish Gate, and the Tower of Hananeel, and the Tower of Meah, even to the Sheep Gate. And they stood still in the Prison Gate.

And the people went out and brought in, and made booths for themselves, a man on his roof and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the plaza of the Water Gate, and in the plaza of the Ephraim Gate.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

The pride of man brings him low, but the humble of spirit takes hold of honor.

Behold, the days come, a statement of Jehovah, that the city will be built to Jehovah, from the Tower of Hananeel to the Corner Gate.

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the King of Heaven, for all His works are truth, and His ways are justice. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

The pride of your heart has deceived you, dwelling in the clefts of the rock; his dwelling is lofty, saying in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

For everyone exalting himself will be humbled, and the one humbling himself will be exalted.
