And the rest of the acts of Joash, and all that he did, and his might with which he fought with Amaziah the king of Judah, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Israel?
And Amaziah the king of Judah, the son of Joash, was caught by Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz, the king of Israel in Bethshemesh; and he carried him to Jerusalem, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the Corner Gate, four hundred cubits.
And the Philistines fought, and Israel was stricken. And they each one fled to his tent. And the slaughter was very great, and thirty thousand footmen of Israel fell.
