and looked; and behold, the king was standing by his pillar in the entrance, and the commanders and the trumpets were by the king; and all the people of the land were rejoicing and sounding with trumpets; and the singers with instruments of song, and giving signals to praise; and Athaliah tore her garments and cried, Treason! Treason!

And she looked, and, behold, the king was standing by the pillar, according to the custom. And the rulers and the trumpeters were beside the king. And all the people of the land were rejoicing, and blowing with trumpets. And Athaliah tore her clothes, and cried, Treason! Treason!

And the king stood by the pillar, and made the covenant before Jehovah, to walk after Jehovah, and to keep His commandments, and His testimonies, and His statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to lift up the words of this covenant that were written in this Book. And all the people stood to the covenant.

And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer the priests were blowing with the trumpets before the ark of God. And Obed-edom and Jehiah were gatekeepers for the ark.

And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that carried the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah, the master of the song with the singers. David also had an ephod of linen on him.

And Athaliah heard the sound of the people who were running and who were praising the king; and she came to the people in the house of Jehovah,

And Jehoiada the priest brought out the commanders of the hundreds, those over the army, and said to them, Bring her out from inside the ranks, and he coming after her cause her to die by the sword; for the priest said, Do not cause her to die in the house of Jehovah.

And the king stood in his place and made the covenant before Jehovah, to walk after Jehovah, and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes with all his heart, and with all his soul, to do the words of the covenant that were written in this book.

There they feared with dread, for God is in the righteous generation.

When the righteous ones receive good things, the city rejoices; and at perishing of the wicked ones is singing.

When the righteous ones increase, the people rejoice; when a wicked one rules, the people groan.

For man also does not know his time. As the fish that are caught in the evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the trap, like these are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly on them.

And the prince shall enter by way of the porch of the gate from outside and shall stand by the gatepost. And the priests have prepared his burnt offering and his peace offerings. And he shall worship at the threshold of the gate. And he shall go out, but the gate shall not be shut until the evening.

And the people took the food in their hand, and their rams’ horns; and he sent away every man of Israel, each man to his tent. But he kept hold on the three hundred men. And the camp of Midian was below him in the valley.
