And in this I exercise myself to have always a blameless conscience toward God and men.

nor to pay attention to myths and to endless genealogies, which provide questionings, rather than a stewardship of God, the one being in faith,

knowing this, that Law is not laid down for a righteous one, but for lawless and insubordinate ones, for ungodly and sinful ones, for unholy and profane ones, for slayers of fathers and slayers of mothers, for murderers,

but what becomes women professing fear of God, through good works.

And, confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in flesh, was justified in Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

For bodily exercise is profitable for a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life now, and of that coming.

But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.

O Timothy, guard the Deposit, having turned away from the profane empty babblings and opposing theories of the falsely named knowledge,

If anyone teaches differently, and does not consent to sound words, the ones of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching according to godliness,

idle uselessness of men whose mind has been corrupted and deprived of the truth, supposing gain to be godliness. Withdraw from such persons.

But shun profane, empty babblings, for they will go on to more ungodliness,

But refuse the foolish and uninstructed questionings, knowing that they generate quarrels.

And, indeed, all the ones desiring to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

having a form of godliness, but denying the power of it; even turn away from these.

and they will turn away the ear from the truth and will be turned aside to myths.

not listening to Jewish myths and commandments of men, having turned away from the truth.

instructing us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live prudently and righteously and godly in the now age,

But keep back from foolish questionings and genealogies and arguments and quarrels of law, for they are unprofitable and vain.

But solid food is for mature ones, of the ones of whom the faculties having been exercised through habit, for judgment of both good and bad.
