And also let these be tested first, then let them serve, being without reproach.

who also will confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

in the body of His flesh, through death, to present you holy and without blemish and irreproachable before Him,

For the ones having served well as a deacon acquire a good standing for themselves and much boldness in faith, the ones in Christ Jesus.

Therefore it is right for the overseer to be blameless, husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, well-ordered, hospitable, apt at teaching;

He should not be a novice, lest being puffed up he may fall into the devil’s judgment.

Lay hands quickly on no one, nor share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

Beloved ones, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world.
