For Adam was formed first, then Eve.
And God created the man in His own image; in the image of God He created him. He created them male and female.
And Jehovah God said, It is not good, the man being alone. I will make a helper corresponding to him.
And Jehovah God formed the rib which He had taken from the man into a woman, and brought her to the man.
And Jehovah God formed the man out of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
He said to the woman, I will greatly increase your pain and your conception; you shall bear sons in sorrow, and your desire shall be toward your husband; and he shall rule over you.
And the man called the name of his wife, Eve; because she became the mother of all living.
