And David came to Ziklag. And he sent of the plunder to the elders of Judah, to his friends, saying, Behold, a blessing for you of the plunder of the enemies of Jehovah;
Therefore, I thought it necessary to exhort the brothers, that they go forward to you and arrange beforehand your promised blessing, this to be ready, thus as a blessing and not as by greediness.
Let those who delight in my justification shout and rejoice; and they shall say continually: Jehovah be magnified, delighting in the peace of His servant.
And he went back to the man of God, he and all his company, and came in and stood before him, and said, Behold, now I know that there is not a God in all the earth except in Israel. And now, please take a blessing from your servant.
And Saul said to David, Behold my elder daughter Merab! I will give her to you for a wife; only, you be a son of strength for me and fight the battles of Jehovah. And Saul said, Let not my hand be on him, but let the hand of the Philistines be on him.
Please, bear with the transgression of your handmaid, for making Jehovah shall make a sure house for my lord. For my lord has fought the battles of Jehovah, and evil has not been found in you all your days.
