And Saul said, I will give her to him, and she shall be a snare to him; and the hand of the Philistines shall be on him. And Saul said to David a second time, You shall be my son-in-law today.

And those seeking my life lay a snare; yea, those seeking my evil speak destruction, and they utter deceits all the day.

And Pharaoh’s servants said to him, Until when shall this one be a snare to us? Send away the men that they may serve Jehovah their God. Do you not yet know that Egypt is perishing?

A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his steps.

For among My people are found wicked ones. They lie in wait, as the crouching of fowlers they set traps, they catch men.

Their tongue is a slaughtering arrow; it speaks deceit. One speaks peace with his neighbor with his mouth, but in his inner part he sets his ambush.

And Saul said to David, Behold my elder daughter Merab! I will give her to you for a wife; only, you be a son of strength for me and fight the battles of Jehovah. And Saul said, Let not my hand be on him, but let the hand of the Philistines be on him.

And Saul commanded his servants, Speak to David secretly, saying, Behold, the king delights in you, and all his servants love you. And now, be son-in-law to the king.

And his servants declared these words to David. And the thing was right in David’s eyes, to be son-in-law to the king; and the days had not been fulfilled.
