And the Spirit of Jehovah departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from Jehovah terrified him.

But My kindness shall not be turned aside from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I turned aside from before you.

And he said, Therefore, hear the Word of Jehovah: I saw Jehovah sitting on His throne, and all the host of Heaven were standing by Him, on His right and on His left.

And Jehovah said to him, How? And he said, I will go out and shall be a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all his prophets. And He said, You shall entice him, and also you are able. Go out and do so.

Do not cast me out from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

Though they multiply their sons, yet I will make them childless, without a man. Yea, woe also to them when I turn away from them!

And she said, Samson, the Philistines are upon you! And He awakened from his sleep, and said, I will go out and shake myself free as time after time. But he did not know that Jehovah had departed from him.

And Samson grasped the two middle pillars on which the house rested, and on which it was supported; one with his right hand, and one with his left.

And God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the leaders of Shechem. And the leaders of Shechem acted deceitfully with Abimelech;

And the Spirit of God came powerfully on Saul when he heard these words, and his anger glowed greatly.

And Saul’s servants said to him, Behold, now an evil spirit from God is terrifying you.

Please let our lord say to your servants before you, Let them seek out a man who knows how to play on the harp. And it shall be, when the evil spirit from God is upon you, then he shall play with his hand, and it shall be well with you.

And it happened, when the evil spirit from God was on Saul, even David would take the harp and play with his hand. And there was relief for Saul, and it was well with him. And the evil spirit would depart from him.

And on the next day it happened that the evil spirit from God advanced on Saul. And he prophesied in the midst of the house; and David was playing with his hand, as day by day; and Saul’s spear was in his hand.

And Saul feared David, because Jehovah was with him and He had departed from Saul.

And Samuel said to Saul, Why have you disturbed me, to bring me up? And Saul said, Much distress is to me, and the Philistines are fighting against me, and God has turned from me and has not answered me any more, either by the hand of the prophets, or by dreams. And I called for you to make known to me what I should do.
