And he said to Gehazi, Gird up your loins and take my staff in your hand, and go. When you meet a man, you shall not greet him. And when a man shall greet you, you shall not answer him. And you shall lay my staff on the face of the boy.
And you shall eat it this way: with your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the Passover to Jehovah.
And you must gird up your loins, and rise up and speak to them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed before their faces, that I not shatter you before them.
But will he not say to him, Prepare something I may eat, and having girded yourself, serve me until I eat and drink, and after these things you shall eat and drink?
For the rest, the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me in that Day, and not only to me, but also to all the ones loving His appearance.
so Christ having been once offered “to bear the sins of many,” Christ shall appear a second time without sin to the ones eagerly awaiting Him unto salvation. Isa. 53:12
but sanctify” the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to speak in defense to every one asking you a word about the hope in you, with meekness and fear, Isa. 8:12, 13
