So I counsel this: Gathering, let all Israel be gathered to you, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude. And you in person shall go into battle.
Do not listen to Hezekiah, for so says the king of Assyria, Make with me a peace treaty and come out to me; and you each man shall eat of his vine, and each man of his fig tree, and you each man shall drink of the waters of his own well,
Behold, a son shall be born to you; he shall be a man of rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around, for Solomon shall be his name, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days;
Do not listen to Hezekiah. For the king of Assyria says this, Make with me a blessing and come out to me. Then let each man eat of his own vine, and each man of his own fig tree, and each man drink the waters of his own well,
Violence shall not still be heard in your land, or wasting and ruin within your bor- ders; but you shall call your walls, Salvation, and your gates, Praise.
And you shall say, I will go up to the land of open spaces. I will go to those at ease, who live securely, all of them living with no walls, and there are no bars and gates to them,
And they have borne their shame, and all their acts of unfaithfulness which they have done against Me, when they dwell on their land securely, and no one terrifies;
And all the sons of Israel went out, and the congregation was assembled as one man, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, and the land of Gilead, to Jehovah at Mizpeh.
