And now, as Jehovah lives, who has established me and caused me to sit on the throne of my father David, and who has made a house for me, as He spoke, surely today Adonijah shall be caused to die.

And now the sword shall not turn aside from your house forever, because even you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be a wife to you.

For You, O Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel, You have uncovered the ear of Your servant, saying, I will build a house for you. On account of this Your servant has found his heart to pray to You this prayer.

And the king swore and said, As Jehovah lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all distress,

And also Solomon has sat on the throne of the kingdom.

And Solomon said, If he becomes a son of virtue, not a hair of his head shall fall to the earth. But if evil is found in him, then he shall die.

Blessed be Jehovah your God who delighted in you, putting your person on the throne of Israel, because Jehovah loved Israel forever, therefore He appointed you king, to do judgment and righteousness.

yea, even from the day that I appointed judges over My people Israel. And I will humble all your enemies; and I declare to you that Jehovah shall build a house for you;

And this was a small thing in Your eyes, O God, but You have spoken to Your servant’s house for a great while to come, and have looked upon me as a type of the Man who is on high, O Jehovah God!

And now, O Jehovah, the Word that You have spoken as to Your servant, and as to his house, let it be established forever, and do as You have spoken;

he shall build a house to My name, and he shall be a son to Me, and I a Father to him; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.

And Solomon sat on the throne of Jehovah as king instead of his father David, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

A Song of Ascents, for Solomon. If Jehovah does not build the house, they labor in vain that build it; if Jehovah does not keep the city, the one keeping it stays awake in vain.

And it was, because the midwives feared God, He made houses for them.

Like the roar of a lion is the dread of a king; he who stirs him up to anger wrongs his own soul.

Please, bear with the transgression of your handmaid, for making Jehovah shall make a sure house for my lord. For my lord has fought the battles of Jehovah, and evil has not been found in you all your days.
