1 Kings 19:11

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And he said, Go out and stand on the mountain before Jehovah. And, behold, Jehovah passed by, and a great and strong wind breakng to pieces the mountains and breaking up the rocks before Jehovah! Jehovah was not in the wind. And after the wind was an earthquake, but Jehovah was not in the earthquake.

And I looked, and behold, a windstorm came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire flashing itself, and a brightness to it round about. And out of its midst, like the color of polished metal it came, out of the midst of the fire.

Our God comes, and He is not silent; a fire shall devour before Him; and it shall be very stormy around Him.

And Jehovah shall make the majesty of His voice heard; and He causes His arm to be seen coming down with raging anger and flame of consuming fire, cloudburst and storm, and hailstones.

And Jehovah answered Job out of the tempest and said:

whose voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once” “I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens.” Hag. 2:6

So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a noise. And, behold, a shaking! And the bones drew near, a bone to its bone.

The earth shook, and the heavens dropped before God, this Sinai before God, the God of Israel.

And be prepared in the morning, and go up in the morning to Mount Sinai. And place yourself here by Me, on the top of the mountain.

And Jehovah came down on the mountain of Sinai, to the top of the mountain; and Jehovah called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

And I saw a great white throne, and the One sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled; and a place was not found for them.

And voices and thunders and lightnings occurred. And a great earthquake occurred, such as did not occur since man came into being on the earth, so great an earthquake, so very great!

And the temple of God in Heaven was opened, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple, and lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and a great hail occurred.

And Moses came into the midst of the cloud, and he went up into the mountain. And Moses was in the mountain forty days and forty nights.

And Jehovah said to Moses, Come up to Me to the mountain, and be there. And I will give to you the tablets of stone, and the Law, and the commandments which I have written, to teach them.

And, behold! A great earthquake occurred! For descending from Heaven and coming near, an angel of the Lord rolled away the stone from the door and was sitting on it.

And he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the Word of Jehovah to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, and not by power, but by My Spirit, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Jehovah is long to anger, and is great of power, and acquiting He does not acquit the guilty. Jehovah has His way in the tempest and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.

And Jehovah passed by before his face and called out: Jehovah! Jehovah God! Merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and great in goodness and truth,

And all the people saw the thunders, and the lightnings, and the sound of the rams’horn, and the smoking mountain. And the people looked, and they trembled, and they stood from a distance.

For nation will be raised up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and plagues and earthquakes against many places.

And you shall flee to the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah, king of Judah. And Jehovah my God shall come, and all the holy ones with You.

And there was trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people; the garrison and those ravaging trembled, even them. And the ground quaked, and it was for a trembling of God.

And on the third day, it being morning, it happened: There were thunders and lightnings, and a heavy cloud on the mountain, and the sound of a rams’ horn, very strong! And all the people in the camp trembled.

O God, You shed abroad a shower of willingness, by which You firmed up Your inheritance when it was weary.
