and it happened, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of Jehovah, that Obadiah had taken a hundred prophets and had hidden them, fifty men in a cave, and had fed them with bread and water);

And he said, I am not able to go back with you, and to go in with you, and I may not eat bread, and not may drink water with you in this place;

Was it not told to my lord that which I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of Jehovah, that I hid a hundred men of the prophets, fifty by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water?

and Ahab said to Obadiah, Go through the land to all the springs of water, and to all the torrents; perhaps we may find grass and keep alive horse and mule, and will not cut off any of the livestock.

But they were disobedient, and rebelled against You, and cast Your Law behind their backs. And they killed Your prophets who testified against them, to turn them to You. And they worked great blasphemies.

Take counsel; do judgment; make your shadow as the night in midday; hide the outcasts; do not uncover the fugitive!

But the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand of the people to cause him to die.

And the rulers said to Baruch, Go hide, you and Jeremiah, and do not let any man know where you are.

And the vinedressers, taking his slaves, one indeed, they beat, and one they killed, and one they stoned.
