And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the Word of Jehovah came, saying, Israel shall be your name.

And He said, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, because you have wrestled with God and with men, and have prevailed.

And Jacob asked and said, Please reveal Your name. And He said, Why do you ask this about My name? And He blessed him there.

And he set up an altar there. And he called it, El, the God of Israel.

And God said to him, Your name is Jacob; your name will not any more be called Jacob, but Israel will be your name. And He called his name Israel.

To this day they do according to the former custom; they do not fear Jehovah, and do not do according to their statutes, and according to their ordinances, and according to the Law, and according to the commandment that Jehovah commanded the sons of Jacob, on whom He set His name, Israel.

And they offered at the dedication of this house of God a hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs, and twelve male goats, for a sin offering for all Israel, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

And Moses wrote all the words of Jehovah. And he rose early in the morning and built an altar below the mountain, and twelve memorial pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.

Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and have come out from the waters of Judah, who swear by Jehovah’s name and make mention by the God of Israel, not in truth or in righteousness.

At that time, a statement of Jehovah, I will be for God to all the families of Israel, and they shall be to Me for a people.

So says the Lord Jehovah: This shall be the border by which you shall inherit the land, by the twelve tribes of Israel. Joseph shall have two portions.

being built up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the cornerstone,

And the twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan were raised up in Gilgal by Joshua.

also having a great and high wall, having twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates and names having been inscribed, which are of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.
