And he cried to Jehovah and said, Jehovah my God, have You also brought evil on the widow with whom I am abiding, to cause her son to die?

And what he did was evil in the eyes of Jehovah, and He also caused him to die.

And Er, Judah’s first-born, was evil in the eyes of Jehovah. And Jehovah caused him to die.

And Isaiah the prophet cried to Jehovah; and He turned back the shadow by the steps that it had gone down on the sundial of Ahaz, ten steps backward.

And he went in and shut the door on both of them, and prayed to Jehovah.

Moses and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel was among those who called on His name; they called to Jehovah, and He answered them.

And Moses cried to Jehovah, saying, What shall I do to this people? Yet a little and they will stone me.

Righteous are You, O Jehovah, when I might contend with You, yet let me speak with You of Your judgments. Why does the way of the wicked ones prosper? Why are all at ease, those who act deceitfully, with deceit.

But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

And all things, as many things as you may ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.
