And, behold, a man of God had come from Judah to Beth-el, by the Word of Jehovah, and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

And it happened that the Word of God came to Shemaiah a man of God, saying,

And the prophet who brought him back out of the way heard and said, It is the man of God who rebelled against the mouth of Jehovah, and Jehovah gave him to the lion, and it tore him apart and caused him to die, according to the Word of Jehovah that He spoke to him.

For being it shall be that the word he called by the Word of Jehovah concerning the altar which is in Beth-el, and concerning all the houses of the high places that are in the cities of Samaria shall occur.

And the altar was torn, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign that the man of God had given by the Word of Jehovah.

For so He commanded me by the Word of Jehovah, saying, You shall not eat bread nor drink water, and not turn back in the way that you have come.

And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his neighbor, By the Word of Jehovah, please strike me. And the man refused to strike him.

And also the altar that was in Beth-el, the high place that Jeroboam the son of Nebat had made by which he made Israel to sin, both that altar and the high place he broke down, and burned the high place; he pulverized it into powder, and burned the Asherah.

And he said, What is this monument that I see? And the men of the city said to him, The grave of the man of God who came from Judah and cried these things that you have done concerning the altar of Beth-el.

And when he became strong, his heart was lifted up to act corruptly; and he acted unfaithfully against Jehovah his God, and went in to the temple of Jehovah to burn incense on the altar of incense.

and they stood up against Uzziah the king, and said to him, It is not for you, O Uzziah, to burn incense to Jehovah, but to the priests, the sons of Aaron, who are sanctified to burn incense; go out of the sanctuary, for you have trespassed; and it is not to your honor from Jehovah God.

And the rest of the acts of Solomon, the first and the last, are they not written in the words of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat?

And the cities of Judah and those living in Jerusalem shall go and cry to the gods to whom they burned incense, to them. But they are not at all able to save them in the time of their evil.

From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, this twenty-three years, the Word of Jehovah was to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened.

And the Chaldeans who fight against this city shall enter and kindle this city with fire, and burn it, with the houses where they offered incense on their roofs to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke Me to anger.

But do not add to prophesy at Bethel any more, for it is the king’s holy place, and it is the royal house.

And now hear the Word of Jehovah: You are saying, Do not prophesy against Israel, and do not drop words against the house of Isaac.

For from the rising of the sun until its going in, My name shall be great among the nations, and every place where incense shall be offered to My name; and a pure food offering; for My name shall be great among the nations, says Jehovah of Hosts.

a memorial to the sons of Israel, so that a man, an alien, is not of the seed of Aaron shll not draw near to offer incense before Jehovah, and shall not be as Korah, and as his company; as Jehovah had spoken by the hand of Moses to him.

For we say this to you in the Word of the Lord, that we the living who remain to the coming of the Lord will not at all go before the ones having fallen asleep.

And another angel came and stood on the altar, having a golden censer. And many incenses were given to him, that he give them with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne.

And a man of God came to Eli, and said to him, So says Jehovah: Revealing did I reveal Myself plainly to the house of your father when they were in Egypt, at the house of Pharaoh,

And he said to him, Behold now, a man of God is in this city, and the man is held in honor. All that he speaks certainly comes to pass. Now let us go there. It may be he will declare our way to us on which we should go.
