Have we not authority to eat and to drink?
nor seeking glory from men, neither from you, nor from others, being able to be in weight, as apostles of Christ.
And remain in the same house, eating and drinking the things shared by them; for the laborer is worthy of his wage. Do not move from house to house.
For, brothers, you remember our labor and toil, night and day, working in order not to put a burden on any one of you, we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.
But let the one being taught in the Word share with the one teaching, in all good things.
nor provision bag for the road, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staves. For the worker is worthy of his food.
I have desired the silver, or gold, or clothing of no one.
My defense to those examining me is this:
