And he said, Far be it from me to do this. The man in whose hand the cup was found, he shall become a slave to me; and you go up in peace to your father.
Then has the good become death to me? Let it not be! But sin, that it might appear to be sin, having worked out death to me through the good, in order that sin might become excessively sinful through the commandment.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Let it not be! But I did not know sin if not through law; for also I did not know lusting if not the law said, “You shall not lust.” Ex. 20:17
Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods, but God will destroy both this and these. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
Therefore is the Law against the promises of God? Let it not be! For if a law had been given which had been able to make alive, indeed righteousness would have been out of Law.
But may it never be for me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
and not holding fast the Head, from whom all the body being supplied through the joints and bands, and being joined together, will grow with the growth of God.
