Let a man count us as under-servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

And answering, He said to them, To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven, but it has not been given to those.

Who then is the faithful and wise slave whom his master has appointed over his services, to give to them the food in season?

And He said to them, To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. But to these, those outside, all things are being given in parables,

even as the ones from the beginning gave over to us, becoming eye-witnesses and ministers of the Word,

And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and wise steward whom the lord will appoint over his service, to give the portion of food in season?

And He said, To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest in parables, that seeing they might not see, and hearing, they might not understand. Isa. 6:9

For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be wise among yourselves, that hardness in part has happened to Israel until the fulfilling of the nations comes in;

Now to the One who is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the proclaiming of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery having been kept unvoiced during eternal times,

But we speak the wisdom of God having been hidden in a mystery, which God predetermined before the ages for our glory,

Who then is Paul? And who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, and to each one as the Lord gave?

being defamed, we entreat. We have become as offscouring of the world, dirt wiped off by all until now.

For the rest, it is sought among stewards that one be found faithful.

Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as beside myself) I being beyond them: in labors, more abundantly; in stripes, beyond measure; in prisons, much more; in deaths, many times.

For if I desire to boast, I will not be foolish, for I speak the truth. But I spare, lest anyone considers me to be beyond what he sees me or hears anything from me.

For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves your slaves for the sake of Jesus.

but in everything commending ourselves as God’s servants, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,

Pray also on my behalf, that to me may be given speech in the opening of my mouth with boldness to make known the mystery of the gospel,

that their hearts may be comforted, being joined together in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of the understanding, to the full knowledge of the mystery of God, even of the Father and of Christ,

praying together about us also, that God may open to us a door of the Word, to speak the mystery of Christ, on account of which I also have been bound,

And, confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in flesh, was justified in Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

He should not be a novice, lest being puffed up he may fall into the devil’s judgment.

having the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience.

(It is right for the overseer to be blameless as a steward of God) not self-pleasing, not prone to anger, not given to wine, not a quarreler, not greedy of ill gain;

each one as he received a gift, ministering it to yourselves as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
