If according to man I fought with beasts in Ephesus, what is the profit to me if the dead ones are not raised? (“Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die”). Isa. 22:13.)
Rejoice, O young man, in your youth. And make your heart glad in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.
but bid farewell to them, saying, I must by all means to make the coming feast, the one at Jerusalem; but I will come again to you, God willing. And he set sail from Ephesus.
But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is not God unrighteous inflicting wrath? I speak according to man.
I speak as a man on account of the weakness of your flesh. For as you presented your members as slaves to uncleanness and to lawlessness unto lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness unto sanctification.
But these as unreasoning natural beasts, having been born for capture and corruption, blaspheming in that of which they are ignorant, they shall utterly perish in their corruption,
But as many things as they do not know, they speak evil of these. And what things they understand naturally, like the animals without reason, they are corrupted by these.
