But I praise you, brothers, that in all things you have remembered me, and even as I gave them over to you, you hold fast the traditions.

But if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is worthless, and your faith is also worthless.

For we are a sweet smell to God because of Christ in the ones being saved, and in the ones being lost;

But working together, we also call on you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

Did you suffer so much vainly, if indeed it also was vainly?

for by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;

if indeed you continue in the faith having been founded and steadfast, and not being moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, the one being proclaimed in all the creation under the heaven, of which I, Paul, became a servant.

So, then, brothers, stand firm and strongly hold the teachings you were taught, whether by word or by our letter.

the One having saved us and having called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace given to us in Christ Jesus before eternal times,

let us hold fast the confession of the hope unyielding, for the One having promised is faithful.

Because of this it is needful for us more abundantly to take heed to the things having been heard that we should not slip away at any time.

For we have become partakers of Christ, if truly we hold the beginning of the assurance firm to the end;

but Christ as Son over His house, whose house we are, if truly we hold fast the boldness and rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.

Therefore having a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast the confession.

My brothers, what is the gain if anyone says he has faith, but he does not have works? Is the faith able to save him?

So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself.

For as the body is dead apart from the spirit, so also faith is dead apart from works.
